Sussan & BCNA

Sussan, proudly supporting women affected by breast cancer

Every day 38 women will be told they have breast cancer. This means that this year 14,000 women will need support. From rural and remote areas to the capital cities, women want to be able to talk to each other and learn from each others experiences. Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA)is the peak national organisation for Australians affected by breast cancer.

We have developed a long term partnership with BCNA and the women and families BCNA support. Our partnership includes:

  • Employee volunteer support at our public events
  • Donations from the product sales such as our specially produced Mother's Day bag
  • In store promotions and window displays to raise awareness of BCNA
  • Distributing information to our customers about the free My Journey Kit and the great work BCNA do
  • Production of t-shirts and vest for various BCNA events
  • Fundraising through the Sussan Women's Fun Run
  • With just under 200 stores across Australia, including rural & regional communities, we are able to reach women where access to information and support services is limited.

Sussan would like to thank our customers who have helped us to raise over $500,000 for BCNA over the past 3 years. We are now raising money for BCNA to go towards the development of a new internet based program to link women together no matter where they live. This technology will allow women to talk to others who are in a very similar situation with breast cancer and keep them connected.

Through your support, you are helping Breast Cancer Network Australia provide thousands of women the opportunity to link together and learn from shared experiences.

If you or someone close to you has been affected by breast cancer please go to www.bcna.org.au or call 1300 78 55 62 to receive a My Journey Kit, a free comprehensive information kit written by women for women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Thank you for your continued support of all Australians affected by breast cancer.
